Using Index Navigation

1. As an alternative to using the map navigation you can also use the index pages generated by the database.

2. The indexes menu can be found on the bottom left hand side of the main page. The indexes generate a list of all the Authors, places and regions in the database. If searching for a particular author use the author index, and if you are browsing by place use the place index. If unsure of where the place is then the region index may be useful.

3. When the list has been generated simply use the A-Z menu to quickly find the required item of information. Only authors linked with places,a nd vice versa, will appear on the indexes however.

4. Alternatively you can use the search tools to quickly query the database, however the indexes are useful for casual browsing.
